Lemons are known for their high amounts of vitamin C (which is a good enough reason to include them in your diet!), but they are full of other awesome stuff as well.First of all, lemons contain bioflavonoids that boost the immune system and antioxidant to help you detox. They also improve liver function by cleaning out your digestive tract. They also clean your blood! And vitamin C may seem ordinary, but let's just review all the ways it helps us. Vitamin C:

  • boosts the immune system
  • reduces risk of cardiovascular disease
  • maintains healthy skin (less wrinkles)
  • important for eye health
  • helps prevent scurvy
  • fights cataracts
  • reduces risk of stroke
